Wass comes with a large amount of knowledge on barbering with over 21 years experience in the industry including more than 10 years being in New Zealand. He was the winner of the 2017 and the 2018 Canterbury/Westland Regional hair stylist of the year awards. Wass was also runner up in the New Zealand hair stylist of the year awards in 2018.

The concept of Wass Barbers being a mobile barber shop came from Wass wanting to be able to keep overheads low enabling competitive pricing and the ease of access with no appointments needed
